Divinity Course

Course in Divinity and General Collectanea, compiled by Richard Oakes, brings together a substantial collection of teachings, notes, prayers, watches, arguments, letters, and recorded statements associated with Mary Baker Eddy and her students. The volume includes notes on Eddy’s Course in Divinity, material preserved by Lida Fitzpatrick and others, Gilbert Carpenter’s collections, and metaphysical instruction recorded by Dr. Alfred E. Baker. Its purpose is to preserve historical material concerning Christian Science teaching and spiritual practice.

Organized into sections on the Divinity Course, watches, prayers, arguments, letters, articles, recorded statements, healing accounts, recollections, and metaphysical instruction, the book explores themes of spiritual sense, divine Mind, healing, prayer, harmony, and the practical application of Christian Science. It offers readers an extensive reference for studying the spiritual instruction and metaphysical work connected with Mary Baker Eddy and the early Christian Science movement.
