Essays and Other Footprints Left by Mary Baker Eddy, compiled by Richard Oakes, brings together a wide-ranging collection of lesser-known writings and historical materials associated with Mary Baker Eddy. The volume includes essays and Bible lessons ascribed to Eddy, along with Repaid Pages, Footprints Fadeless, early versions of The Science of Man, early papers, visions, and a historical sketch of mind-healing. Its stated purpose is to preserve these “fadeless” footprints and present material that may deepen readers’ understanding of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
The collection explores Christian Science themes including spiritual healing, Truth and error, divine Mind, Love, prophecy, resurrection, marriage, church organization, animal magnetism, metaphysical treatment, and the spiritual interpretation of Scripture. It also preserves early teachings and historical documents connected with the development of Eddy’s thought, providing readers with an extensive reference for studying the evolution and wider context of Christian Science.
